Amit Shah to chair North Zonal Council meeting in Jaipur on July 9

New Delhi, July 06: The “North Zonal Council” meeting will be held here on July 9 under the direction of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, and the lieutenant governors of eight states are expected to attend the conference at the Hotel Rambagh Palace.

Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh are among the states that are anticipated to take part in the event.

The discussion will focus on the state’s internal security, border security, cybercrime, the creation of a collective workforce, the cross-border drug trade, the development of a system of information sharing, as well as the rise in incidents of rape of women and minors. The meeting will begin around 10 a.m.

The head of the Northern Zonal Council is Amit Shah. Together with the Home Minister, the Chief Ministers will address the difficulties facing their states and work to find solutions.

The violent killing of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur also lends significance to the conference.

By spreading the footage online, the Kanhaiya Lal murderers also threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Rajasthan Police’s SIT, ATS, and SOG are looking into the attackers’ possible ties to terrorism.

The NIA has also been given the probe by the Central Government (National Investigation Agency). Riyaz Attari and Ghaus Mohammad, the murderers, are both being questioned while being held on remand.

Later, three more suspects were taken into custody, and the investigation is still ongoing. Violence and racial unrest have also been reported in the past in Karauli, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, and Bharatpur.
