Another Blow To Cong With Sabita, Kartik Contemplating To Join TRS

Hyderabad, March 10 (Maxim News): The main Opposition Congress party has been receiving jolts one after the other, thanks to the operation Akarsh launched by the ruling TRS party.

In a fresh blow to the Congress, former home minister of undivided AP State P. Sabita Indra Reddy is likely to join the TRS along with her son P. Karthik Reddy. The mother and son duo reportedly met with TRS working president KTR at the residence of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in the city on Sunday morning. Owaisi reportedly brokered a deal between KTR and Sabita Indra Reddy during the meeting.

According to informed sources, the TRS party reportedly promised Sabita a cabinet minister post and MP ticket for her son Karthik Reddy from Chevella. It was also widely reported that Sabita would meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in a day or two.

It may be mentioned here that three Congress MLAs Atram Sakku, Rega Kantha Rao and Chirumarti Lingaiah have already announced that they would join the TRS. Rumours were on rife that Sabitha, who won from Maheshwaram Assembly constituency, was upset with the Congress party after it denied ticket to her son Karthik Reddy. (Maxim News)
