Another Fire In Hyderabad: Fire Breaks Out In Women’s Hostel
Hyderabad, Feb 5 (Maxim News): A fire broke out in a women’s hostel in Gandhinagar under Musheerabad police station limits on Thursday. Locals informed the fire department and police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took up rescue operations. Fortunately, no one was in the hostel at the time of the accident , so a major accident was averted.
According to the police, a fire broke out at the Sudhama PG Accommodation for Women’s Hostel in Gandhinagar. It is believed that the incident took place when all the girls in the hostel were on their way to work or college. Locals say that if the incident had happened at night or when students were present, the situation would have been much worse. Police and fire brigade officials believe that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit.
As the fire spread rapidly, locals informed the fire department. Three fire engines immediately reached the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control. Along with the fire brigade, HYDRA teams also participated in the rescue operations and took precautions to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings.
Officials have suggested that various precautions should be taken to prevent such accidents from recurring in PG hostels in the city. They said that the electrical wiring in old PG hostels should be checked regularly. They asked that fire safety equipment should be made available on each floor. They said that hostel students should be made aware of how to respond in case of a short circuit. Musheerabad police have registered a case and are investigating.
