However, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the previous BRS government fulfilled the dream of housing for the poor. He stated that the double bedroom house programme played a key role in this effort. He credited the KCR government for implementing the scheme across the city.

Meanwhile, he shared figures related to the housing programme. He said 2.31 lakh houses were sanctioned. He added that 1.62 lakh houses were constructed. He also said 65 thousand houses were allocated to beneficiaries through a transparent lottery system in the twin cities.

Further, Talasani Srinivas Yadav noted that the first double bedroom housing project began in IDH Colony in Sanath Nagar. He said this marked the start of a major welfare initiative. He also recalled that the then Governor Narasimhan had visited the houses and appreciated them.

At the same time, he demanded that the double bedroom houses built in slum areas be given to deserving poor families. He stressed that these families have been living locally for the past 70 years. Therefore, he urged the government to ensure fair distribution.
