Kavitha Telangana CM | Hyderabad, Sept. 4 (Maxim News): TRS Chief K Kavitha has said she wants to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. She also said the post needs dignity and political stature.
Kavitha made the remarks while discussing her political goals and future in Telangana. She said the Chief Minister’s position carries more than executive power.
According to Kavitha, the office must reflect respect, dignity and grace. She also criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s style of governance.
Taking a sharp swipe at the Chief Minister, Kavitha said people need not use the phrase “Tughlaq actions” anymore. Instead, she said calling someone “like Revanth Reddy” would be enough.
Her comments add a new layer to the political contest within the BRS. Kavitha has also responded strongly to questions involving her political rivalry with former minister T Harish Rao.

Kavitha challenged Harish Rao’s wife to contest against her if she had the courage. She said she would welcome such a political contest.
Kavitha recalled that she had earlier said she would contest against Harish Rao. However, she said she now has no objection to facing his wife instead.
She said she remains ready to face anyone who contests against her. Kavitha also said Harish Rao could step aside from politics if needed.
She suggested that he could bring his wife into electoral politics if he believed such a move was necessary. Kavitha said the identity of her opponent would not affect her readiness for an election.
The remarks come amid continued political differences within the broader BRS leadership. Kavitha has recently made several statements about her political future and the direction of Telangana politics.
Her comments also highlight the growing focus on succession, leadership and electoral strategy within the party. However, the remarks do not amount to any formal announcement about a future election contest.
Kavitha’s statement that she wants to become Chief Minister marks a clear expression of her long term political ambition. At the same time, her challenge to Harish Rao’s wife signals her willingness to engage directly with political rivals.
