Another Flaw In Kaleshwaram Project: Anaram Barrage Leak At 2 Gates 

Jayashankar Bhupalpally/Hyderabad, Nov 1 (Maxim News) Another fake has emerged in the Kaleshwaram project.  Leakages of the Annaram Saraswati barrage are creating a stir.  Weather is boiling due to leakage at two gates numbered 28 and 38 in the barrage. 

This alerted the engineering officials.  An attempt was made to stop by placing sandbags for two days, efforts are being made to prevent sand from being washed away from the pillar base due to the speed of the flow.  At present, there are 5.71 TMCs of water in the barrage.  Officials lifted a gate and released 2357 cusecs of water downstream.  Annaram Saraswati Barrage with a water storage capacity of 10.87 TMC has been constructed as part of the Kaleswaram Upliftment Scheme.  Even before the Medigadda Lakshmi barrage damage incident is forgotten, The Annaram Saraswati barrage leakage is creating a stir.  (Maxim News)
