AP CM YS Jagan Launched A New Scheme
Amaravati, Sept.28 (Maxim News): AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today launched yet another pro-farmer welfare scheme– YSR Jalakala, which has also been promised by him during his election campaign. The scheme is meant to provide free bore-wells to dry lands of the state.
The Chief Minister has launched the scheme at his camp office. The state government is planning to dig up 3 lakh borewells across the state under the scheme. The state government will spend Rs.2340 Crore and will irrigate 5 lakh acres of land. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that they had taken another historic step for the welfare of the farmers of the state. He said that the main objective of the scheme was to provide free bore wells and irrigate their lands. He said that they would take up the borewell works after completing the ground water survey.
