AP Govt Plans To Setup COVID-19 Lab At Kurnool
Amaravati, April 10 (Maxim News): Government of Andhra Pradesh will soon set up a COVID-19 diagnostic lab in Kurnool.
Speaking at a review meeting with the officials, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy informed that said that the state government has submitted proposals to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for setting up of COVID diagnostic lab at Kurnool. He made it clear that there would be no shortage of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits as order was placed for another five thousand PPEs, six thousand N-95 masks and one lakh triple layer masks. They would be received by the state government within two days. In addition to this, the state government would also soon order for additional two thousand N-95 masks, 1000 PPEs and 4 lakh triple layer masks.
He instructed officials to take all possible measures to provide better treatment for those who are infected with COVID-19. Officials have been instructed to keep a stock of all Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) like sanitizers and N-95 masks, for the doctors and other medical staff, who were working in quarantine centres.
COVID – 19 State Secretary and Principal Secretary of Social Welfare Muddada Ravichandra, District Collector G Veerapandian, Joint Collector Ravi Pattan Shetty, Trainee Collector and others were also attended the review meeting.(Maxim News)
