AP Minister Rules Out Threat To Srisailam Project
Vijayawada, Nov.21 (Maxim News): Responding to reported remarks of country’s waterman Rajendra Singh over the strength of the Srisailam project, AP Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar on Thursday asserted that there was no threat to Srisailam project.
In a statement here today, Anil Kumar said he summoned a detailed report on the project status from the officials concerned and got satisfied that there was no threat to the irrigation project. He also made it clear that the project did not have any cracks as well. He also said the State government was taking all steps to protect the project.
Anil Kumar made it clear there was no iota of truth in the reports being spread over the status of the project. He also said they had done an underwater photography to assess the status of the project recently.
Meanwhile, executive engineer of the project Chandrashekhar also made it clear that there was no threat to the Srisailam irrigation project. He also said there was no truth in the comments made by the waterman and Magsaysay awardee Rajendra Singh. (Maxim News)
