After the initial probe by the Delhi Police special cell, a police official told a news agency that the threats were sent by two siblings in the school because they wanted the exams to be postponed.

During counseling, both students revealed that they had gotten the idea from previous incidents of bomb threats being made to schools, the officer said. They were later allowed to go after their parents were given a warning.
