APSRTC Crew To Go On Strike From June 13
Vijayawada, May 22 (Maxim News): The employees of APSRTC have decided to go on indefinite strike from June 13. The JAC of the APSRTC employees took the decision demanding fulfillment of their long-pending demands.
Some of the important demands of the employees are: Payment of arrears of pay revision commission and other 27 demands. The employees’ JAC has demanded that the State government withdraw the decisions like increase in the number of private buses in the corporation and reducing the number of employees. The JAC leaders said they had announced the date for going on strike as the talks between them and the management of the corporation ended in a failure.
The employees’ unions said they have no option but to resort to non-cooperation as the management remained non-committal on their demands even after submitting their demands 13 days ago. They asserted that they would remain steadfast in their resolve until their demands are accepted. (Maxim News)
