APSRTC JAC Backs Indefinite Strike By TSRTC Men’s Strike

Hyderabad, Oct. 29 (Maxim News): APSRTC joint action committee leaders have extended their support to the ongoing indefinite strike of their counterparts in the Telangana State.

Addressing media here today, the APSRTC union leaders demanded that the Telangana government concede all the demands of the RTC crew and implement all the reforms being implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government for the welfare of the employees of the corporation.

APSRTC JAC leader Thomas Reddy said the Telangana government was acting arbitrarily and ignoring the demands put up by the RTC employees. He asked the TRS government what was wrong with the demands of the RTC workers. He cautioned the Telangana government that the people would suffer badly if the properties of the corporation were privatized. He also said the ongoing strike has received support from all sections of the society and the strike was going on successfully since the last 25 days.

Stating that the TRS government had miserably failed to make alternative arrangements for convenience of the people during the strike, he said the K Chandrashekhar Rao government was not willing to pay for the losses incurred by the corporation for operating Palle Velugu buses in the rural areas of the State. He slammed the TRS government for denying permission to the TSRTC JAC to hold a public meeting on Wednesday as part of their ongoing strike. (Maxim News)
