Arrangements made for counting in Huzurabad bypoll on Nov 2 : CEO

Hyderabad, Nov.1 (Maxim News): As all eyes are on results of Huzurabad segment bypoll on November 2, the Election Commission and Officials made necessary arrangements for counting of votes.

The segment saw a big voter turnout with 86.57 percent voting in the tough fight between the TRS and the BJP. It is 2.5 percent more votes polled than what seen in 2018 polls according to information.

CEO Shashank Goel today said that all arrangements have been made for counting process of votes polled for Huzurabad segment bypoll in November 2.

The poll officials are ready to start the counting process in SRR Degree College in Karim Nagar district. The EVMs, VVPATs and related material kept in the string room with tight police security. The counting and polling agents of the political parties will be present during the counting of the votes.

The polling was caused after Etela Rajender resigning to MLA post after getting ousted by KCR Government on land grabbing charges.

The polling saw a tough campaign by TRS leaders, BJP and congress. The government started Dalit Bandhu scheme for SCs empowerment in Vasalamarri village of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.

The scheme was extended to Huzurabad segment and four other places of SCs in the state. While the exit polls gave edge to the BJP, actual results will be out on November 2 after counting.

Earlier, the CEO directed Karim Nagar district collector to make better arrangements for counting. CEO said that the polling was completed peacefully and all arrangements made for counting of the votes at SRR degree college on Thursday.

Shashank Goel has addressed a review meeting with officials of Karim Nagar district on counting arrangements. The counting of votes polled in Huzurabad bypoll will be done on Nov 2. The CEO directed the officials to make necessary arrangements for counting in a fair manner. (Maxim News)
