Digital Census 2027 Preparations Reviewed In Telangana

Hyderabad, Mar 3 (Maxim News): Digital Census 2027 preparations were reviewed by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao during a meeting with District Collectors on Monday. Director of Census Operations Telangana Bharathi Hollikeri briefed officials on the modalities for the upcoming exercise.

The first phase, House Listing Operations, will begin across the state from May 11. Officials said the administration has started groundwork to ensure smooth implementation.

Digital Census 2027 will mark India’s first fully digital Census. Authorities will conduct the process through a dedicated mobile application. The system aims to ensure real time, accurate and transparent data capture.

Self enumeration will start 15 days before the House Listing Operations. Therefore, officials asked collectors to create awareness among citizens.

The Chief Secretary directed collectors to ensure full coverage, including remote, tribal and vulnerable areas. He also stressed structured training for enumerators and supervisors to avoid errors.
