The case was filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna, who alleged that Mohit Shukla, the main accused, convinced him to invest in a fraudulent Rijika coin scheme. Sonu Sood was summoned to testify in the case but did not appear, leading to the court’s decision to issue an arrest warrant.

Court’s Order to Mumbai Police

In its official directive, the Ludhiana court instructed the officer-in-charge of Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sood and present him before the court.

Sonu Sood, resident of Casablanca Apartment, has been duly served with summons or warrants but has failed to attend and is avoiding service,” the court order stated, as reported by ANI.

The order further instructed, “You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court. This warrant must be returned on or before February 10, 2025, with an endorsement certifying the manner of execution or the reason for non-execution.”

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 10.

The actor, known for his humanitarian work, expressed his gratitude towards CM Naidu for supporting the Sood Charity Foundation. Taking to Instagram, Sood shared pictures from the meeting, writing, “Ambulances are crucial in saving lives, and I am happy to start this journey of ensuring patients receive timely treatment by donating four ambulances to the state of Andhra Pradesh. A heartfelt thanks to @ncbn.official sir for the support and guidance as we continue our efforts in working towards a healthier India.”

For the meeting, Sood opted for an all-black outfit, comprising a shirt and pants, as he posed for photographs with the Andhra Pradesh CM.

While Sonu Sood remains in the spotlight for his social initiatives, the latest legal development has brought a fresh controversy to his name. The case’s next proceedings on February 10 will determine the next steps in this ongoing legal matter.
