Artillery Centre kicks off its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations by flagging off Dakshin Bharat motorcycle expedition

Hyderabad, 22 Oct: To commemorate 60 years of its Raising, Artillery Centre, Hyderabad under the aegis of Indian Army’s Dakshin Bharat Area is organising Dakshin Bharat Motorcycle Expedition on 23 Oct 2022 from Hyderabad to Dhanushkodi (Tamilnadu).

The 19-member contingent, which includes 10 riders (02 Officers, 01 Junior Commissioned Officers and 07 Non Commissioned Officers) in synergy with the two time tested pillars of the Public Sector Undertaking and the Private sector, ie, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Hero Motor Corp, is being flagged off from Artillery Centre, Hyderabad.

Covering a distance of approximately 3000 kms in 13 days, the Expedition team will interact with local populace, motivating the youth to enroll in the Indian Army through the newly launched Agnipath Scheme. During its journey, the team will hold lectures at various NCC units & schools. The team would also create awareness on Road Safety, Safe Driving Skills and adherence to the traffic rules. The expedition team enroute will interact with the Ex-servicemen, War veterans and Gallantry Award Winners.

Passing through Anantapur, Bengaluru, Salem, Madurai, Dhanushkodi, Tiruchirapalli, Puducherry, Chennai, Sriharikota, Suryalanka, the expedition will finally culminate its journey at Hyderabad on 05 Nov 2022.
