Asaduddin Owaisi | Hyderabad, Nov. 19: AIMIM Supremo and Hyderabad Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi reacting to a troubling video circulating online in which Umar Nabi, an accused in the Delhi blasts case, justifies suicide bombing as “martyrdom” and “misunderstood.”
Owaisi strongly rejected these claims, stating that suicide is haram (forbidden) in Islam and that killing innocent people is a grave sin. He emphasized that such acts also violate the law of the land and should not be misconstrued as anything other than terrorism.
Asad Owaisi highlighted the dissonance between this incident and assurances given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Parliament during Operation Sindoor and Mahadev Amit Shah had assured parliament that no local Kashmiri had joined terror organizations in the past six months.

This statement from Owaisi comes amid heightened scrutiny of security and intelligence agencies concerning terror threats. His comments clarify the religious and legal standpoint against suicide bombings and challenge the government to explain the emergence of terror groups despite recent assurances.
Owaisi’s remarks contribute to the ongoing debate over counter-terrorism measures and intelligence efficacy in India’s national security discourse, asking critical questions about accountability and prevention.
