Hyderabad, Dec.14 (Maxim News): AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today moved Supreme Court challenging the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).
He argued that the Bill was against the Constitution and the Muslims.
Owaisi appealed to the Apex Court to cancel the Bill to safeguard interests of Muslims in the country. Advocate Nizam Pasha appeared in the court on behalf of Owaisi. The CAB aims at giving shelter to non-Muslims of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan as refugees in India. (Maxim News)
