Asaduddin Owaisi terms BJP rule as ‘Lynch Raj’

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Lok Sabha member Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday slammed the BJP government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling four years of the BJP rule in the country ‘lynch raj’.

In a strong reaction to the killing by a mob of Akbar Khan, a 28-year-old man in Ramgarh area of Alwar district of Rajashtan who was walking two cows to his village, Owaisi said India is experiencing a ‘lynch raj’. In a tweet, Owaisi said the “cow in India has a Fundamental right to life under Art(icle) 21 & a Muslim can be killed for they have no Fundamental right to LIFE. Four years of Modi rule – LYNCH Raj.”

It may be recalled that last April, another Muslim man, Pehlu Khan, was also attacked by a mob, again in Alwar district of Rajashtan for transporting cows in a vehicle. Pehlu Khan later succumbed to injuries he suffered in the attack.
