Revanth Reddy used harsh words to describe KCR’s tenure. He said KCR was responsible for serious damage to the state’s economy and governance. “KCR is a traitor who did injustice to Palamuru district, which gave life to the Telangana movement. He incurred a debt of Rs. 8 lakh crore and made the state bankrupt,” the Chief Minister said. He further added, “If the state is transformed like the remaining ruins after the earthquake comes and goes. We are now removing those ruins and putting the state on the path.”

The Chief Minister also spoke at length about Palamuru district. He said it was a political benefactor for KCR and played a major role in the Telangana movement. However, he alleged that Andhra Pradesh’s water exploitation increased during KCR’s rule. “AP’s water exploitation was more during KCR’s tenure than in the United state,” he said. He then challenged KCR to compare figures. “Lety’s calculate how much Krishna water AP has diverted between 2004 to 2014, and then from 2014 to 2024,” Revanth Reddy stated.

Revanth Reddy also accused KCR of compromising Telangana’s rights on Krishna river waters. “Why sign repeatedly? In 2021-22, KCR permanently signed and wrote Telangana’s rights,” he said. He further alleged, “it was KCR who wrote the death warrant for our state by signing that out of the 811 TMCs in Krishna, AP has 512 TMCs and Telangana has 299 TMCs.”

Later, the Chief Minister issued a direct Assembly discussion challenge. “I want KCR to come to the assembly and discuss. Let’s discuss in the Assembly from January 2,” he said. He proposed separate discussions on river projects.

“Let’s discuss one day on the krishna river projects, one day on the Godavari basin,” he added. He also said, “If that’s not enough, let’s have meaningful discussions for two days.” Revanth Reddy urged KCR to speak in the legislature and not outside. “KCR should come to the assembly and break his silence,” he said, while rejecting remarks about sending spoons to the Assembly.
