Hyderabad: Jammu and Kashmir leaders on Friday strongly condemned the alleged mob attack on a young Kashmiri shawl seller in Uttarakhand, in which the victim suffered multiple fractures and serious injuries. The incident triggered sharp political reactions, with several leaders seeking strict action against those responsible and raising concerns over similar attacks being reported from different states.
The victim is a minor from Kashmir who had travelled to Uttarakhand to sell shawls. According to reports, a group of people allegedly assaulted him, leading to severe injuries. The case has drawn attention across political circles, as leaders described the incident as disturbing and alarming. They also stressed the need for accountability and protection of people engaged in livelihood activities outside their home states.

They said such incidents damage social harmony and create fear among vulnerable communities. Also, they stressed that those responsible must face strict legal action to restore confidence and uphold the rule of law.
