Hyderabad: A man who sustained grievous injuries in an attempt-to-murder incident in Chandrayangutta on Wednesday succumbed to his wounds while undergoing treatment on Thursday.
The victim, Wajeed Khan (35), a centering worker and resident of Chandrayangutta, was allegedly attacked by a man identified as Maisan following an argument over a money demand. The incident occurred on the main road around 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to police, the argument escalated when Maisan, without any provocation, suddenly pulled out a sharp weapon and stabbed Wajeed multiple times in full public view. Passersby rushed the severely injured man to a nearby private hospital. He was later shifted to Osmania General Hospital, where he died during treatment due to excessive bleeding and critical injuries.
The Chandrayangutta Police have registered a case of murder and launched an investigation. A manhunt is underway to trace and arrest the absconding accused.
