According to the available information, theInformal Labour’s and Workers Federation announced the Auto Drivers Strike to press specific demands before the government.

The union demanded a ban on autos registered under district auto cab services. It also sought the release of Rs 12,000 financial assistance that the government had announced earlier for auto drivers.
