JNTU-H Registrar Prof. K Venkateswara Rao said the morning session examination had already commenced as scheduled and that afternoon exams would also be conducted without interruption. His statement reassured students and parents, who were concerned about possible disruptions due to the ongoing agitation by private college managements.

The clarification came after several private professional colleges, including those offering pharmacy courses, began an indefinite strike that started on Monday. The institutions are demanding that the State government clear their pending fee reimbursement dues. According to reports, the colleges have sought payment of Rs 5,000 crore, which is part of the total Rs 10,000 crore the government owes under the reimbursement scheme.

The university’s decision to proceed with the exams underscores its determination to ensure academic schedules remain unaffected. Officials emphasised that adequate arrangements had been made to conduct examinations without difficulty to students. Many college managements, however, are continuing their protest while urging the government to expedite the release of dues to avoid financial distress among private institutions.

Meanwhile, students appeared for the tests under tight supervision, with JNTU-H monitoring the situation closely through its control rooms. The administration reiterated that all subsequent exams will also follow the previously announced schedule unless further notice is issued. This firm stance by JNTU-H has brought clarity and relief to thousands of students enrolled under its affiliated colleges across Telangana.
