Internet, July 4: The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has ordered an internal probe into allegations of misuse of donations in Badrinath. The committee said it acted after social media claims raised concerns.
BKTC president Hemant Dwivedi said the committee will form an inquiry panel. He also asked for details of the staff on duty. Chief executive officer Sohan Singh Rangad said the temple team checked CCTV footage immediately. However, the recording was not clear.
Rangad said the committee informed the chairman after reviewing the matter. He added that the chairman then directed a full internal inquiry. The committee will also verify employee details.
Officials said they will take strict action if anyone is found guilty. They cited the BKTC Act 1939 and the Employees Code of Conduct. The committee also urged people to avoid false claims and misleading campaigns.
Meanwhile, Bhairava Sena alleged financial irregularities in the temple. It also demanded a transparent probe into claims linked to the chairman’s personal assistant. Dwivedi, however, said the person named on social media is only a BKTC employee.
