Bairi Naresh Arrested for Disparaging Remarks Against Lord Ayyappa

Bairi Naresh | Warangal/Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Maxim News): Telangana police arrested Osmania University student leader Bairi Naresh today for allegedly hurting religious sentiments with his controversial comments about the Hindu Deity Ayyappa. He was arrested in the Warangal district.

Cases were booked against Naresh under IPC sections 153-A, 295-A, 298, and 505(2).

It may be recalled that three days ago at a public meeting in Kodangal town of Vikarabad district, Naresh had made remarks about Hindu deities that were reportedly derogatory in nature.

Bairi Naresh Arrested

He was booked for controversial comments about Ayyappa Swamy at the public meeting, he said, “One says it’s Rama Rajya, someone says Jai Sri Ram and now they say, Ayyappa. Just read the history of Ayyappa. We don’t believe in all this nonsense.

There are people here who don’t believe in God. Ambedkar’s meeting is a meeting of non-believers. “Protests and dharnas had ensued on Friday in Kosgi, maddur, and Kodangal Mandal centers in Kodangal constituency and other parts of the state. Later, complaints were filed at the Kodangal police station demanding action against him.

Bandi Sanjay Tweeted

Telangana BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay tweeted, condemning the comments, saying, “Anybody can abuse Hindu Gods in Telangana and get exonerated.

Telangana CM encourages blasphemy without taking any action! KCR claims to be “True Hindu” & his “Hindutva is real” BUT so far what action is taken on insults against God’s Vishnu, shiva & Ayyappa in KJondangal?”
