Karimnagar/Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News): The bandh called by BRS to protest the attack by BJP goons on MLA Gangula Kamalakar’s camp office is continuing. Business and trade associations in the city are voluntarily observing the bandh. The police have arrested BRS leaders who came on the roads in the wake of the bandh and taken them to TTC.
Police deployed at Gangula Kamalakar’s house since Saturday morning arrested him and took him to LMD police station. Former mayor Ravinder Singh, city president Challa Harishankar and others were arrested.
On the other hand, Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar, who was leaving from Burugupalli in Gangadhara mandal to participate in the bandh being held in Karimnagar, was stopped by the police on his way. He was detained and taken to his residence in Burugupalli and placed under house arrest. The bandh is continuing peacefully in Karimnagar.
Business associations in the city are strictly observing the lockdown. Businesses and businesses are closed in many parts of the city. On the other hand, the police are continuing to arrest TRS leaders who are coming on the roads. (Maxim News)
