Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News):The state is reeling under the onslaught of murders, rapes, kidnappings and cyber crimes. It is worrying that Telangana has reached an alarming level in the country in terms of economic and cyber crimes. The severity of crimes has increased immensely compared to the past. The horrific murders, rapes and kidnappings that take place in one place or another every day reflect the horrific conditions prevailing in the state. All these are not the allegations of opposition leaders.. These are the burning facts revealed in the NCRB report. The crime rate in the state has increased by 18.7 percent. The increase in crimes against women and children in particular is causing concern. Although the rulers say that they are giving priority to women’s safety.. the situation on the ground is the opposite
The latest NCRB statistics show that the number of sexual assaults, harassment, and crimes against children has increased significantly compared to last year. Telangana, which is advancing in technology, is unfortunately gaining the same momentum in cyber crimes. While 15,297 cyber crimes were registered in 2022, 18,236 cases were registered in 2023. The highest number of cases was 27,230 in 2024, which shows how dire the situation is. As preventive measures have failed, cyber criminals are freely looting the money of the people of the state. Telangana is reaching the top in the country in forgery, fraud, and other financial crimes. The latest report has concluded that Telangana is witnessing an increase in almost all types of crimes. The recently released 2024 Crime Report reveals that robberies, thefts, murders, rapes, attacks on Dalits and tribals, and gross corruption are on the rise.
ncreased atrocities against women
The soaring crime rate in the state is evidence that law and order has deteriorated during Revanth Reddy’s tenure. While crimes against women have decreased slightly in the country, they have increased significantly in Telangana. Even children are being suffocated due to crimes. The fact that 2,103 POCSO cases were registered in 2024 reflects the seriousness of the situation. According to the NCRB, Telangana has become the most dangerous state for women among the southern states. While 23,678 crimes were committed against women in 2023, the number of crimes increased to 24,495 in 2024. Telangana ranks 2nd in cases of filming nude scenes of women and children. On an average, six children are succumbing to the lust of lustful men every day. These figures are evidence that the government is failing to protect children and girl children.
Just like doing crime reviews..
The FIRs registered in lakhs are proof that the crime rate has increased drastically in Telangana. As Revanth Reddy did not conduct any crime reviews as the Home Minister and did not give proper instructions to the police, the police also stopped monthly crime reviews. Due to this, the crime rate increased drastically in 2024. In 2023, a total of 1,83,644 IPC, BNS and SLL cases were registered in the state, while in 2024, 2,17,976 cases were registered. While there was a decrease of 18.7 percent in the crime rate across the country, Telangana saw an increase of 18.7 percent. The highest number of cases was registered per lakh population at 568.9. The national average is 418.9. Telangana has also shown a rise in cybercrime, financial crimes, human trafficking and betting crimes.
172 percent increase in heinous crimes
Telangana has seen the highest increase in heinous and heinous crimes. Crimes like murders, rapes, sexual harassment, robberies, aggravated assaults, kidnappings, domestic violence, physical attacks on spouses, and arson of houses and offices have increased drastically. While 9,673 crimes were reported in 2022 and 10,069 in 2023,
the number has increased to 27,447 in 2024, which is a matter of great concern. Compared to the KCR regime in 2023, violent crimes have increased by 172 percent since 2024 under Revanth’s rule. (Maxim News)
