Bandi asks KCR to solve podu land problems

Hyderabad, July 8 (Maxim News): State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and demanded that the Chief Minister solve the podu land problems of tribal farmers during the upcoming revenue conferences. He also demanded that the Chief Minister handover title deeds of the podu lands to their occupiers during the conferences.

In his letter, Bandi stated that the podu land problem was not confined to only Police department but it was also related to the Forest department in the State. He urged the CM to make the Forest department a part of the revenue conferences. He told the KCR that his party MP and tribal leader Soyam Babu Rao submitted several representations to the district Collectors concerned urging them to solve the podu lands problem in the State.

Bandi Sanjay claimed that the State government had come down due to their protest and decided to launch a drive to receive applications from the podu land occupiers to issue the land pattas to them in November 2021. He told the Chief Minister that the problem did not get a permanent solution. He told KCR he was reminding him of his promises made on the issue of the podu lands a couple of times in the past. He reminded KCR of his promise made in July 2019 that he would take the entire Revenue department to the doorsteps of the tribals and issue land pattas to them.

He said he was ready to send media reports about the promises made by the Chief Minister in order to remind him of his promises. He said the State unit of the party was ready to arrange chairs for the CM to sit and supervise the process of the distribution of the podu land pattas. Bandi also said the Committee of the ministers headed by State Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathod had turned out to be an idol of festival. (Maxim News)
