Cyber Crime Police Apprehended One Accused In Digital Fraud
Hyderabad, May 8 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police apprehended one accused person by name Ramprasad Sahebrao Salunke, age: 33 years, Occ: Pvt. Employee, from Pune, Maharashtra state, who is involved in Fedex/Digital Arrest frauds. The accused was involved in 04 cases in Telangana and 22 cases across India.
According to the press release issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crimes, Hyderabad, On 29-10-2024 a male victim of 45-year-old Doctor from Hyderabad, received a call from +918710084174 (Mobile Call) and stated that they are from Indian Post Office and said that 01 parcel has come in the name of victim, it contains following items (1) 14 Uniforms of Police officials, (2) 14 ID cards of police officials (3) Bank Debit cards & (4) Ketamine Injections (a Narcotic Drug). The victim denied and argued with them and said that he will complain to the police officials. Then, they argued and immediately they connected to the fake police officials at the Conference.
Later he received a video call on his mobile number, during video call several fake Senior Police Officers threatened him of arrest in the name of drugs and this conversation continued for several days and demanded for financial verification and asked to transfer an amount of Rs. 26,95,255/-. Out of fear, he transferred the money through RTGS. The victim has transferred an amount of Rs.1,23,90,510/- in multiple transactions. (Maxim News)
