Bandi Sanjay writes letter to KCR over IIIT Basara issue

Hyderabad, June 30: Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay wrote a letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday to resolve the demands raised by students of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Basara.

The MP criticised the CM for not allocating time to meet IIIT students, who are staging protests for the last six days, seeking the state government’s intervention to fulfil their justifiable demands including appointment of regular Vice-Chancellor and permanent faculty.

The BJP chief faulted KCR for not sanctioning funds to meet the demands of IIIT students but spending towards foreign trips of his son and Industries Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR).

Sanjay came down heavily on Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy for terming demands of students as silly. He demanded that the TRS government should hold talks with students for fulfilling their 12 demands. “Ministers should stop threatening students and their parents,” he said.
