BC Reservation: Azharuddin Sidelined, ‘Car Or Bulldozer’ Choice: KTR
Hyderabad, Oct 13 (Maxim News) : BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of “cheating” by promising 42 percent BC reservation.
He spoke at a large meeting of party workers in Rahmatnagar, Jubilee Hills constituency. He framed the bypoll as a test of promises and conduct. He also sharpened his attack with pointed remarks.
KTR said, “CM Revanth Reddy is speaking rudely. They often say that he will put his intestines in his neck. I have never seen such a bankrupt CM anywhere.”
He linked the remarks to what he called a pattern of rhetoric and false assurances. He alleged that the 42 percent BC reservation pledge was deceptive.
Therefore, he urged voters to judge performance over words. Meanwhile, he cast the Jubilee Hills fight as a message to the state leadership.
He invoked former MP Mohammad Azharuddin’s case. “In the past, Azharuddin contested from Jubilee Hills on behalf of the Congress. Now he has been sidelined with the promise of giving him an MLC,” he said. He argued that voters should deliver a verdict.
He added, “If the voters in Jubilee Hills throw a punch, that blow should be inflicted on the Congress high command.” Then, he used a stark electoral frame: “Whether they want a car or a bulldozer, the voters here should decide.”
KTR also raised allegations on voter rolls. “Congress leaders have included 43 fraudulent votes in one house. The party has focused on dealing with such things,” he said.
He claimed the campaign would counter such efforts. He did not provide further details in this address. However, he suggested tighter vigilance in the run-up to the poll.
The speech kept attention on reservations and local issues. It tied a statewide promise, 42 percent BC reservation, to a constituency battle.
It also revived the “car versus bulldozer” line as a simple choice. Therefore, the address sought to mobilize cadres and frame the ballot as an accountability test.
Later, the campaign phase in Jubilee Hills will show how the message lands. (Maxim News)
