Bear Scare in Karimnagar Raises Safety Concerns
Locals said this is not the first such incident in the village. Bears have entered the area on several occasions in recent years. Villagers believe habitat loss caused by granite quarry activities is forcing wild animals to move closer to human settlements.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. The footage reportedly shows the bear attempting to chase a dog in the village before moving away.
Following the incident, residents urged Forest Department officials to take immediate preventive measures. They have also raised concerns through social media platforms and WhatsApp groups, requesting authorities to stop bears from entering residential areas.
Villagers said frequent wildlife movement has become a major concern and called for stronger monitoring in vulnerable locations. Forest officials are expected to assess the situation and take necessary action to prevent further incidents.
