Hyderabad: Several important political, welfare and development programs are scheduled across Hyderabad city on Wednesday. Ministers, political leaders and public representatives will participate in events ranging from child welfare initiatives and employment programs to electoral reforms and heritage conservation.
Women and Child Welfare Minister D Seethakka will inaugurate Child Care Centres at Anganwadi centres in Hyderabad. The initiative aims to strengthen childcare facilities and improve support services for children and working mothers.
A job mela will be organised at Gandhi Bhavan on the occasion of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s birthday. The programme is expected to connect job seekers with employment opportunities offered by various companies.
Key Hyderabad Events Scheduled Today
The CPI Telangana State Council will conduct a round table meeting on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and discuss a future action plan. TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and CPI State Secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao are expected to participate.
A regional conference on the PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana will also be held in the city. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will attend the event as the chief guest and address participants on employment generation initiatives.
BRS Working President K T Rama Rao will participate as the chief guest at the party’s Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency meeting. Party leaders are expected to discuss organisational matters and future political strategies.
Meanwhile, political parties have raised concerns regarding the treatment of electors identified as “anomalies” ahead of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The issue is likely to remain a key political discussion point.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has instructed TGSRTC officials to initiate the process for elections to recognised unions and release the election schedule at the earliest.
In a significant heritage conservation effort, Raymond’s Tomb, one of Hyderabad’s historic links with France, will undergo restoration. The project will receive financial assistance of ₹14 lakh from the Bureau de France, Hyderabad.
