Betting App: Actors, influencers, YouTubers Named in ED Probe

Betting App | Hyderabad, July 10: The ED has registered cases against 29 film celebrities and companies in connection with betting app promotions.
The ED will investigate film actors Vijay Deverakonda, Rana, Manchu Lakshmi, Prakash Raj, Nidhi Agarwal, Ananya Nagalla, Sreemukhi and others based on the FIR filed by the Cyberabad Police. Film celebrities, YouTubers and influencers will be investigated under the PMLA.
Telangana police have already registered cases against everyone from anchors, television actors, social media influencers to film celebrities in connection with the promotion of banned bettingapps.
The names of actors Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Praneetha, Nidhi Agarwal, Ananya Nagalla, YSRCP spokesperson Shyamala, television actors and influencers Srimukhi, Varshini Soundararajan, Siri Hanumanthu, Vasanthi Krishnan, Shobha Shetty, Amrutha Choudhary, Nayani Pavani, Neha Pathan, Pandu, Padmavati, Imran Khan, Vishnupriya, Harshasai, Bhaiya Sunny Yadav, Tasty Teja, Ritu Choudhary, Bandaru Supreeta and others have been included in the FIR.
Betting App Promotion:
The case has been registered under sections 318(4), 112, red with 49 of the BNS, sections 3, 3(A), 4 of the Telangana Gaming Act, and sections 66D of the IT Act 2000 and 2008. The ED will investigate based on the FIR registered by the Hyderabad Police.
There are allegations that celebrities and social media influencers have widely promoted illegal apps for downloading.
Many have complained to the police that they have taken huge commissions and remuneration for this. Due to these apps, many people have committed suicide due to debt and many families have been in financial crisis, the police said in the FIR.
