Bhatti condemns Azad’s comments on Rahul Gandhi in his quit letter
Hyderabad, Aug.26 (Maxim News): CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today condemned the comments of Ghulam Nabi Azad, who quit from all the posts of the party. Stating that Azad wrote a four-page letter to party supremo Sonia Gandhi and levelled allegations against party leader Rahul Gandhi, he said the decision of Azad, who held a lot of important positions in the party and party-led Central governments, to quit the party would cause a lot of pain to the party president Sonia Gandhi, who is working hard for the betterment of the country despite suffering from several health problems.
He made it clear that the former president of the party Rahul Gandhi was also working hard to protect the basic principles of the Indian constitution by putting in his all-out efforts. He said it was unfortunate that Azad decided to quit the party at a time, when divisive forces like BJP were trying to create a wedge in the country by indulging in communal politics. Vikramarka made it clear that the Congress party had not only strengthened the democracy in the country, but also build the nation, irrespective of its caste and creed. Stating that the country was witnessing troubling times, he said there was a need to strengthen secularism enshrined in the Indian constitution. (Maxim News)
