Bhatti Flays Govt Over Pathetic Condition Of State Hospitals
Hyderabad, Sept.3 (Maxim News): CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday criticized the State government for its failure to provide basic amenities in all the government hospitals in the State in the wake of sudden spurt in viral fevers. Bhatti also alleged that the State government was not taking any steps despite the entire State has turned into the capital of viral fevers.
Speaking after inspecting Mulug district Government hospital, along with MLAs D. Sridhar Babu, Seetakka and Posen Veeraiah and others, Bhatti demanded that the State government immediately fill vacant posts of doctors and paramedical staff. He alleged that the State government was still in a deep slumber despite the pathetic condition of the health sector. He also alleged that though the State government had declared the Mulugu Area hospital as district hospital, it didn’t provide the requisite amenities on a par with the district hospital.
The CLP leader said as against the norm of 250 beds for a district hospital, it has only 100 beds. He also said they were shocked to hear from the pharmacy officials that the hospital was just a 50 bedded hospital as per records. He said the TRS government has not allotted a single rupee for the hospitals in the State.
He also complained as against the requisite strength of seven deputy civil surgeons, the hospital has only one doctor and as against 27 civil assistant surgeons’ posts , the hospital has only 11 doctors. (Maxim News)
