Bihar Elections | Tejaswi’s Voters Sitting in Modi’s Lap: Owaisi’s Sensational Remarks
Patna/Hyderabad, Oct 7 (Maxim News): AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has made sharp remarks in the backdrop of the upcoming Bihar elections, launching a verbal attack on RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav during a public meeting in Madhubani district.
Owaisi alleged that Tejaswi’s actions were indirectly helping the BJP, stating, “BJP will win because Tejaswi’s voters are sitting on Modi’s lap and drinking tea.” He accused Tejaswi Yadav of failing to convince his own supporters while wrongly blaming AIMIM for his political setbacks.
Addressing Tejaswi directly, Owaisi warned, “If you continue to behave arrogantly like this, the people of Bihar will not forgive you.”
The AIMIM chief emphasized the need for the Muslim community to develop independent political leadership, asserting that their issues cannot be resolved otherwise. He noted that Muslims make up 19 percent of Bihar’s population, adding that no government or political decision in the state can succeed without their participation.
Owaisi also pointed out that 60 percent of Bihar’s population is below 25 years of age, urging young voters to think about their future while casting their votes. He further alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar seems unwilling to return to power in the state.
Revealing his party’s political efforts, Owaisi said AIMIM had written to Congress and Lalu Prasad Yadav, seeking an alliance and requesting six seats. “We told them there’s no need to make our MLAs ministers — our only goal is to confront BJP’s communalism,” he said, adding that their proposal was rejected.
Concluding his remarks, Owaisi said, “If the election results go differently, everyone will understand who truly tried to stop Modi from coming to power in Bihar.” (Maxim News)
