BJP celebrates Seva Lal Jayanthi

Hyderabad, Feb.15 (Maxim News): BJP today held Birth anniversary celebrations of Sant Seva Lal Maharaj at the State party headquarters. State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar paid floral tributes at the portrait on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Kumar said the reservations of the STs would be withdrawn in Telangana State if Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s constitution was implemented in the State. He declared that they would build Sevalal Maharaj temples at all tribal thandas in the State after coming into power. He said the Centre was ready to set up a tribal university in Telangana as soon as possible. He also said the delay in the establishment of the university was being caused due to non-allocation of the land by the state government.

The BJP leader said they were holding the birth anniversary celebrations across the districts under the aegis of their ST Morcha wing. He said Sevalal Maharaj had helped the tribals to overcome their problems. He said Sevalal had united 10 crore tribals in the country.

Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Bandi alleged that the former was chasing the tribals away from their forests by carrying out attacks with the help of the Forest department officials. He also alleged that the Chief Minister had forgotten about his promise to distribute podu lands to the tribals. He claimed that several hamlets in the State did not have basic amenities like roads and drinking water. He said the Chief Minister was not bothered about the problems of the tribals, who owned podu lands. (Maxim News)
