BJP Chief Mahabubnagar Resigns

In a blow to BJP, Mahabubnagar district president Erra Chandrasekhar resigned on Sunday. In a release, BJP leader said that he was quitting the party and would soon explain reasons for his sudden move.

Erra Chandrasekhar resignation assumed significance amid BJP state’s president Bandi Sanjay’s visit to Mahabubnagar on Sunday. It is learned that Chandrasekhar announced his resignation just after lunch at former MP Jitender Reddy’s residence with Bandi Sanjay.

Erra Chandrasekhar is said to have been upset after the senior BJP leaders dissatisfied with the press conference arranged by him in Mahabubnagar. The senior leaders is said to have questioned him as to how he organized the press conference when Bandi Sanjay was touring in Narayanpet. Also, Erra Chandrasekhar is believed to have been suffered humiliation during the lunch with the BJP leaders with Jitender Reddy’s residence today noon.

The resignation of Erra Chandrasekhar caused an uproar in the BJP and also triggered an internal rift between the leaders.
