BJP Leader Doubts Fair Polls In AP

Hyderabad, March 16 (Maxim News): Reacting to the murder of YSRCP senior leader YS Vivekananda Reddy, Andhra Pradesh BJP Vice President Vishnu Vardhan Reddy has expressed his doubts that the upcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh may not be held in a peaceful atmosphere as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was keen on getting the elections postponed to avoid his unceremonious defeat at the hustings.

Speaking to mediapersons at State party office here, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was keen on getting the upcoming elections postponed due to fear of his defeat and encouraging violent clashes between TDP and YSRCP activists. He also said there was no law and order in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP leader expressed his concern over the increasing kurder politics in Andhra Pradesh. He also said in the last 70 years of democratic process in the country, political parties did not indulge in this kind of political assassinations. The latest victim of the political murders in Andhra Pradesh was former MLA and MP YS Vivekananda Reddy of Kadapa district. He also alleged that the TDP leaders were utilizing the Rayalseema region for their selfish political benefits.

Encouraging political murders, Chandrababu Naidu also acted as Director General of Police the other day when YS Vivekananda Reddy was physically eliminated. “How far that was correct” for the AP Chief Minister issuing GOs preventing the Central investigation teams from entering Andhra Pradesh. The BJP leader pointed out that in the past, when Chandrababu Naidu was in the Opposition, he had demanded CBI probe into the murder of Paritala Ravi, but now he was not willing to order CBI probe into the YSRCP leader’s murder.

Under the circumstances, forthcoming elections will not be peaceful. He appealed to the Centre to rush additional security forces to Andhra Pradesh to ensure peaceful and fair elections. Vishnu also pointed out wherever a crime occurred in the State Chandrababu appoints Special Investigation Team, which he was using it as a tool. He also observed that honest police officers in that State were not able to work honestly due to political pressure by the ruling party. (Maxim News)
