BJP using religion for political gains: KTR

Khammam, June 11 (Maxim News): Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao came down heavily on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for dividing the people in the name of caste and religion in the country.

Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a cable bridge constructed at a cost of Rs.11.75 crore across the Lakkaran Tank and taking part in several development work programmes in Khammam district on Saturday, KT Rama Rao said that the BJP government at the Centre had forgotten the development of the nation and its main agenda was indulging in cheap politics and using the religion for political gains.

Stating that the unprecedented development activity is being taken place in Khammam district under the tenure of TRS government and the Khammam Municipality is the front runner in the development works compared to other municipalities in Telangana, KTR felt happy that he was involved in the development works that were taken up at the cost of Rs.100 crores in Khammam district.

Observing that the irrigation projects constructed by the TRS government has changed the face of Telangana and even during the hot summer, several lakes and rivulets are overflowing and water is visible every where in the State, the Minister said the Telangana has become a role model for other States and the BJP leaders should learn the best practices being adopted by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the overall development of the State.

Earlier, KTR inaugurated a musical fountain and LED lighting system in Khammam town and a Prakruti Vanam in Raghunadha Palem village.

Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, MP Nama Nageshwar Rao and other elected representatives were present. (Maxim News)
