BJP’s MLA Shopping: TRS stages protests across Telangana
Hyderabad, Oct.27 (NSS): Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to purchase four TRS MLAs, the ruling party leaders and activists staged protests across the State on Thursday.
The TRS leaders burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP and staged road blockade programmes at various places in Telangana.
TRS MLAs Balka Suman and Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar staged protest at Chandur mandal headquarters in Munugodu Assembly constituency and later, burnt the effigy of Narendra Modi.
At Peddammul mandal headquarters in Vikarabad district, the protest was organised led by Municipal Chairman Rammohan Reddy and poured milk to the portrait of Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy for alerting the police to bust a covert operation by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Meanwhile, the protests were organised by TRS leaders across Khammam district. At Elkanur Village, TRS leaders burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and criticised him for trying to topple the TRS government in Telangana.
In Asifabad district headquarters, the TRS organised a massive protest in the town and burnt the effigy of Narendra Modi. MLAs Koneru Konappa and Aathram Sakku, ZP chairperson Kova Laxmi and others were present. (NSS)
