Komaram Bheem Asifabad/Hyderabad, April 2 (Maxim News) An eighteen-year-old boy drowned in an irrigation project built across Peddavagu while swimming in a shallow spot in it on the outskirts of Jagannathpur village in Kagaznagar mandal on Wednesday. His body was traced on Thursday.
Rebbena SI Venkata Krishna said that Arbas, who works at a coconut shop in Kagaznagar town drowned. He along with two friends entered the water to swim in for fun in the afternoon.
His friends alerted his parents who in turn approached the police. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and launched an operation to trace the body by pressing expert divers.
The police suspended the search operation since it got dark. They resumed the operation and found the body at a spot around 500 meters away. Based on a complaint, a case was registered. Investigations were taken up. The body was shifted to Asifabad government hospital for post-mortem. (Maxim News)
