Bomb Blast In Pakistan: 25 Killed, 30 Injured

Islamabad/Internet/Hyderabad, Feb 5 (Maxim News): A massive explosion took place in the Pakistani Capital Islamabad on Friday (February 7). The horrific incident took place shortly after the Friday prayers near the Tarlai imam Dargah in the Shahbaz Town area of islamabad. At least 25 people were killed and more than 30 were seriously injured in the explosion. The intensity of the explosion was so high that the entire area around the Dargah was filled with thick smoke.  here was a panic at the scene.

According to initial information, security forces suspect it was a suicide bombing. Authorities suspect that the assailant detonated the blast as a large crowd was leaving after prayers.

Immediately after receiving the information, police, bomb disposal squad and rescue teams reached the spot and took up rescue operations. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials said that the death toll is likely to rise further. After this incident, a high alert was declared in Islamabad.  The area where the explosion took place was completely sealed.  (Maxim News)
