BRS, BJP Workers Clash During Inauguration Of Shivaji Idol

Jagtial/Hyderabad: Tension has prevailed in Mallapur Mandal in Jagtial district during the inauguration of the statue of Shivaji in the new Damaraju Palli. there was a fight between the ruling BRS and BJP workers

Korutla MLA Vidyasagar Rao and BJP leaders J.N Venkat attended the idol unveiling program organized by Shivaji Youth Association. BRS leaders objected to BJP leader Venkat being called on stage. BRS activists expressed their anger against the organizers for calling BJP leaders and insulting their party sarpanch and MPTC by not inviting them to the meeting. This led to a scuffle between BJP and BRS workers. immediately the police were alerted and detained the activists of both parties.

MLA Vidyasagar Rao, who unveiled the statue of Shivaji, left without participating in the meeting. (Maxim News)
