BRS Leaders Under House Arrest Ahead Of Revanth Reddy’s Kamareddy Visit
Kamareddy/Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News) Ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to the flood-affected areas in the district today afternoon, many Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are being house arrested by the police.
BRS leaders, including Gampa Goverdhan and former MLA Jajula Surender have been placed under house arrest in Hyderabad. Many mandal level leaders are also confined to their homes.
Sensing trouble ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit, the police were placing the BRS leaders under house arrest. Stating that it has been over a week since the flooding of Kamareddy district, the BRS leaders questioned the Chief Minister’s visit at this juncture.
The Chief Minister along with new cabinet colleagues, including Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and others, had conducted an aerial survey of different areas in Kamareddy last week. However, due to rains, he could not visit the flood affected areas.(Maxim News)
