Hyderabad, Oct. 19: The BRS Legal Cell has issued legal notices to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna over alleged false claims about the diversion of Kondapochamma Sagar water to BRS leader K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse.
The notices accuse the Congress leaders of spreading allegations that allegedly damaged the reputation of the former Telangana Chief Minister. BRS General Secretary and Legal Cell in-charge Soma Bharat Kumar issued the notices.
BRS Demands Withdrawal of Alleged Claims
The legal notices follow similar notices issued to the management and editor of the Telugu daily Velugu over the same issue.
The BRS Legal Cell has demanded the immediate and unconditional removal of the relevant social media posts and withdrawal of the alleged campaign.

The party has warned that it may initiate further legal proceedings, including defamation action, if the recipients fail to respond. It said allegations concerning Telangana’s irrigation projects should not be used to mislead the public.
The claims and counterclaims remain allegations, and the legal notices do not by themselves establish whether the disputed statements are false.
