BRS, MIM, And Congress To Fight Against BJP On UCC In Telangana
Hyderabad, July 11 (Maxim News): All the major secular political parties, ruling BRS of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao party, AIMIM led by Asaduddin Owaisi and the Congres led by A. Revanth Reddy has joined together on the issue of the Uniform Civil Code and they will be fighting against the communal BJP on this issue in Telangana which is going to emerge the major issue in the coming Assembly and Parliament elections.
The BRS party which was so far not declared its view on Uniform Civil Code made the sudden announcement on Monday by the BRS National President and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao after meeting with the AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Muslim religious leader at Pragathi Bhavan. KCR rejected the BJP-led Centre’s attempts to get the Uniform Civil Code Bill passed. He alleged that the BJP had neglected the nation’s development and was pursuing divisive politics to trigger disturbances among people, he said the BRS has been opposing and would continue to oppose decisions of the Centre that are detrimental to the unity of the people of the country.
It may be recalled that AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has already started a campaign opposing the Uniform Civil Code in the state of Telangana and even threatened to contest the coming Assembly elections in more seats outside the old city.
The Congress party which is claiming to come to power in the state of Telangana by defeating the KCR’s party in the coming Assembly elections, has made it stand at the National level of opposing the Uniform Civil Code. (Maxim News)
