BRS MLC Madhusudhana Chary Assumes Office As LoP In Legislative Council

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (Maxim News): BRS MLC Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary assumed office as the Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana State Legislative Council on Sunday.

BRS working president K.Tarak Rama Rao, party MLA Srinivas Yadav, and a host of other party leaders who were also present congratulated him on the occasion.

Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary served as the first speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from June 9, 2014, to January 16, 2019. He won from the Bhupalpally constituency in Warangal in the 2014 general elections.

Born on October 13, 1956, in Nakkapalli of erstwhile Warangal district, Chary has been a key figure in Telangana politics. He played a crucial role in the Telangana movement.

Chary’s tenure as the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly was marked by his efforts to bring attention to the issues faced by cotton farmers in the region.

He held various positions within the party, including general secretary and politburo member. In 2021, Chary was nominated to the Legislative Council under the Governor’s quota. (Maxim News)
